Daves of Our Lives

Saturday ( 3/29/25) at 2:30 pm. A special musical afternoon!

Stranger things have happened but Dave's of Our Lives comes pretty close to one of the weirdest. Two Dave's! One, an accomplished Bluegrass and Americana multi-instrumentalist and songwriter from Ann Arbor, Michigan, and the other, a former rocker and blues player from the South, found themselves next door neighbors in Smithville. The next thing you know, these two was been wanna bees are combining vocal and picking skills (along with a little tequila) to create melodramatic (and sometimes ecstatic) music that will bring a smile to your face

Clint Alford

Based in the small town of Rusk, Tx, Clint Alford began songwriting at the young age of 19. Over the course of the the next few years he worked on perfecting his songwriter ability and was in constant search for his own distinct and unique sound. Following years of experience playing on numerous stages, he has also as lent his musical talents to many different recordings. He has had several different studio projects of many different styles of music, and has been making a name for himself in the Texas music scene since the early 2000's .     The once front man of the Tyler, Tx based alternative- rock band, The Papers, Alford struck out in 2010 to form a acoustic driven group known as The Kid Icarus Project. The band played every party, bar, and restaurant around the east Texas area and even had several appearances at the famed South by Southwest festival in Austin, Tx. The band went on to win best Americana Band at the 2017 East Texas Music Awards.   June of 2018 Alford again went searching for different avenues to bring his music to the public. He started playing solo acoustic shows that leaned more into a soul/singer-songwriter style that seemed to fit his vocals perfectly. That same year he put out his 1st solo acoustic live record called Live Off Chilton. Following the success of that record he has released several other EPs and singles that are currently available on all streaming platforms. He is currently playing all over the state of Texas and surrounding states.

Her songs are a honky tonk acid trip of classic dancehall and 70’s outlaw country rolled into a tight-knit package, all headlined by a big Texas voice and an unmistakable style that’s all her own. And if you catch a little twist of blues and rock’n’ roll in the vocal, that’s not by accident. Growing up in a small Texas town like Winchester, that’s the way country music is done!
For the last 12 years, Briana has been touring all over Texas. She has opened for some Texas Country/Red Dirt greats along the way too! Including, The Bellamy Brothers, Randy Rogers Band, Jason Boland & The Stragglers, & Charlie Robison. Just to name a few.
With the upcoming release of her new EP “One More Highway,” 2021 figures to be a big year for her. Says Briana, “I believe this new record is exactly what I needed to jump back into things! Each song is so stylistically different, and I think it will give the audience a glimpse of what I’m capable of!
I’m really just excited to be getting back out there and having something to promote, honestly! It makes me feel like I have purpose again. 2020 was rough for everyone, and I’m very thrilled to be getting “back in the saddle”, as they say. Radio tours, playing new tunes, playing new venues… You know, all the things that come with being a touring musician!
Her superlative voice, vintage style, and quiet confidence even in the face of doubt will take her a long way. Stay tuned for a lot more from this rising Texas artist, Briana Adams.
